Activities
Activities at this restcamp in Kruger Park include wildlife and birdlife viewing. With the wildlife needing water in the early morning and late afternoon, visitors can watch the wildlife from a vantage point. The Matambeni hide on the northern bank of the Engelhardt dam offers a particularly good vantage point for bird viewing.
Wildlife:
While most of the large mammals can be seen around Letaba, Elephant abounds and Rhino is pretty scarce. Visitors don’t even need to leave the camp, as Lion and Cheetah can be seen when you look over to the Letaba River, across from the restcamp. Birding:
Letaba is rich with difference birdlife. Birds such as Pearlspotted, Barred and Scops owls have been spotted all at once in a single tree. Other birds include Greencapped eremomela, Mourning Dove, Arrow-marked babbler and Orange-breasted bush shrike to mention a few.
